I have always been interested in how the landscape appears. Whenever I go for a walk, I always stick to the trail or path. For me, the landscape is something natural and untouched, but the path created by man has the stamp of humans. I see the landscape as a two-dimensional grid and the path a triangle that leads me through the image. The interplay between these two elements, the landscape and the path has often been the basis of my paintings.
